I can't stand celery. The taste, the texture, basically everything about it. Even smothering it in the most delicious sauces and condiments doesn't improve it. I don't understand how anyone can tolerate this shit, let alone enjoy it.

I feel that way about cooked celery. I enjoy it raw, but the minute it is no longer crunchy it is gross. Same with carrots, actually. Textures are really important to me in some things.

I feel that way about carrots and celery too. I can't stand the mushiness when they're cooked. They're supposed to be crunchy, not mushy.

I feel that way about kale, spinach, and fish. I've tried them cooked different ways and in different dishes, but no dice. They all taste gross to me.

I like it because I find the slight bitterness pleasant.

But then, I like a lot of bitter foods because they are multifaceted to me rather than just bitter.

I think this is one of those cilantro or soap questions, since you wouldn't be the first person I've seen to hate celery.

It's wet and crunchy and that's what I like a lot of foods.

Amen, nonny! I can't stand that shit. The taste, the smell, the "CRUNCH". UGH.

You and Peter Davison, nonny. Y'know, the guy who's primarily known for wearing a stick of (artificial) celery on his lapel.

Mmmm I love it. But my husband hates it. I think it's one of those things like cilantro - delicious to some, loathsome to others.

Cream of celery soup isn't that bad with a little black pepper. Try it!

I feel the same way about pickles and green beans, and I don't like celery much either, so I totally get it.
