brought on by realizing i havent watched tv for over 12 years. i knew it had been a while but never realized how long

Do you stream/torrent instead or is it no television at all?

i torrent a movie once every few months but thats it

It's not as long for me, but I literally can't remember the last time.

I never actively watch TV either. I do watch series on Netflix and such, and I think if a family or friend is watching I might sit down... but I don't think I've turned on the TV to watch for myself for over a decade, either. I'd rather just use my computer for everything and I hate commercials and not being able to watch a show at my own pace.

I recently watched a normal TV (TiVo even) for the first time in about 5 years and it was the weirdest thing.

Heh. Been streaming for seven years and haven't had a regular tv in more than 15 years. Now I only get super annoyed if I have to use one. I want to pick and skip at will.

Even just small/average heels make me feel really tall. I think I'm at that sort of height where 5 cm makes the difference between "average" and "tall".

Same! Those extra 5 cm puts me at 180 cm, which makes me feel super tall.

it's the other way around for me.

I may have a mild case of trichotillomania. I'll comb through my hair with my fingers to get rid of the loose hairs and yank out the ones feel kinda frizzy. I also pull out my eyebrows and eyelashes.

That I'm still really attached to the OCs I created 15-20 years ago? There are two main "stories/games"-- ie, derived from play with micro machines figures/dolls (remember- 20 years ago, I was around 7!); or perhaps what you'd call "RP" now, plus lots of just imaginative plotting with my sisters, and then as we got older, we drew our characters a lot.

Well I still really love the nonsense that we created, and when I get bored I still draw some of them sometimes. Our main game was rather loosely based on the Star Wars universe (among MANY other interests), so it's been on my mind quite a bit lately.

And on a somewhat-related note: there are TFA Micro Machines, which we would have gone nuts for, but there are NO REY FIGURES. AUGH. Only Rey on her speeder bike, and characters who are glued to vehicles can't interact properly with regular standing characters! I want regular standing Rey, Rey with her staff thing, and lightsaber Rey. We don't question having 3 Lukes in assorted poses! MORE REY TOYS, DAMMIT.

I realised last week while watching OPM that it's been something like 8 years since I've watched any anime, I didn't think it had been that long.

I never understand my feelings about other people. I can't tell when I like or dislike somebody.

I recently realized I had been physically abused by my dad as a kid. He would chase after me and hit me on the butt and legs with his shoe, and twice that I remember, he hit me in the face out in public. I was a good kid, too, I didn't deliberately do anything bad, but I didn't listen or pay attention to his directions all the time, and he'd get mad and hit me. (This past spring I was diagnosed with ADHD-Inattentive type, so...yeah, that would explain a lot. :/ )

He stopped doing this by the time I was in high school, and he changed a lot after my mom left him when I was 22 and became a much calmer, nicer person. Nowadays, I have a pretty good relationship with him and can talk to him. But I didn't ever have any actual conversations with him until I was around 20. Before that, he never spoke to me except to tell me what to do or tell me what I did wrong, no hyperbole.

This is the first time I've ever written this down.

Wow. Good for you that you manage to put words to it: says that you are a mature person. Same with you having actual conversations with him today and not letting his child policing ruin your relationship. You have turned out more than okay.

I'm right hand dominant but also use my left had for a bunch of things. That is apparently pretty rare.

I'm left-handed but I always hold an ice cream cone in my right hand. If I hold it in my left hand I feel like I might accidentally drop it.

I am ugly. When did that happen?

I apparently think of sight and hearing as belonging to "me", while smell, taste, and touch are from "my body", and therefore I conceptualize three out of five senses as being some sort of external assault of me.
