As someone who was in a funk for three years because of the bad aftertaste from one writing group, and as someone who dislikes other writers too (we'd probably mutually dislike one another, yay!), I totally know what you mean. I went a slightly different route in that I wrote tailored erotica (give me fetishes and I'll give you words, that sort of stuff) but the fetishes eventually became too much for me so I cut back on that.

I think, at the end of the day, there's no tried and true method for becoming a Real Writer and the most important thing is putting words on paper. I hope you snap out of your funk! For me, nothing major happened, I literally just woke up one day itching to write. It was utter crap, like everything, but apparently good enough to put food on the table.

I do this when I try to revise anything, to be honest. I am never going to make it in the career that I somehow decided was my one true passion that I had to do.
This, +1000
I have never ever reread a work of my own and liked it. And this is tragic because I love the tropes I use and often reuse them so you think I'd get better or write stuff that has more personal reread value! Well, other people clearly reread my works and Emily Dickinson wanted her poems burnt so eye of the beholder and whatnot.

Also, can't emphasize enough how un-glamorous the career route is for most everyone I know. I feel I succeeded in spite and not because! :P

This actually made me feel better. Thanks, anon.
