Haha it's really dumb. It's actually not that popular last I checked and I don't like it because the way I usually see it being portrayed is that of a love triangle focused on Vimes, which I find unfair to Sybil, and besides, there is way too much angst involved in the idea of Vetinari being in love with someone who he can't truly have, and I really dislike my favourite characters being put through that much angst.

I could see this dynamics being written as mostly fluffy, with Sybil bringing Vetinari and Vimes together and smoothing over their difficulties. She's more cunning than Vimes, but healthier and more straightforward than Vetinari. She could be the ideal link between them.

But I see how the execution would be frustrating. I'm really not fond of OT3s in which the third character is just kind of there in order to avoid making the relationship between the other two an act of adultery.

I like the "Music by B.S. Johnson" series by icarus_chained. Low angst with a Sybil PoV.
