The ending of Sleepless in Seattle was a foregone conclusion from the start, but I still really wanted Bill Pullman's character to at least get a happy ending before the movie ended ;_; I know his character is supposed to highlight the fact that romance movies always encourage rooting for 'the good guy', even if 'the bad guy' isn't really all that bad, but I still wished they hadn't made his character so sympathetic.

It must be a long time since I've seen this, because I completely don't remember him in it. I do however feel really bad for Patrick Dempsey in Sweet Home Alabama for I imagine the same reason. Poor guy was left practically at the altar.
