It's not a rec because I've never been, but if I _were_ to go to DC, I'd definitely want to visit the Library of Congress. Of course, I'm a librarian, so I might be biased. ;)

Library of Congress is cool, but it is also a time drain. Like, I could go and spend days there. I had to limit myself to two days.
