Oh man, similar experience, even though I had seen other short works by the same writer/director that often had a melancholy or dark humor streak and thought I was prepared. Very mild spoiler: when "Que Sera, Sera" kicked in... just... man.

That whole scene is like the world's most depressing acid trip. I usually get a bit emotional there, but I don't start bawling until the very end.
