I hate how people jump to assume that just because you ship a pairing made up of white men, you're all for the whitecock option. Like, do you need to flash your credentials now? "Hi, I ship the white slash pairing in this show, but don't worry - I have two interracial ships (one slash and one het), one femslash ship featuring two black women, as well as one white het ship. I realize that this list is white heavy. I am working on it by broadening my exposure to characters of color. Now, if we can proceed to fandom..."

This is exactly what it's like now. You can just say you like something anymore you have to preface your enthusiasm with a laundry list of all the non-problematic things you also like to try to stave off the inevitable criticism you'll receive if you don't.

Yup, we have to know how problematic you are so we can figure out if we need to bully and harass you in the name of 'social justice'.

Because as we all know, which ships are popular in fandom is the biggest sj issue ever and totally isn't about butthurt fans being assholes.
