Do you think there are that many people 18 and under here?

Happened in 1993-1994

Early 20-somethings were babies or not even born.

Right, but MJ died only 6 years ago.

If we're going by when the scandalous things happened, well, those people wouldn't even have been born when David Bowie was having sex with this girl. So it makes more sense that she was talking about the death dates.

That and it was old news.

I mean unless you expect a bunch of kids in 1999 to be going online to rail about old Michael Jackson news instead of talking about which Backstreet Boy is cutest or complaining about Smashmouth.

But if teenagers today can rail about old David Bowie news then why can't teenagers of yesteryear rail about old Michael Jackson news?

Because they didn't care. It was an ancient scandal about some guy their parents liked.

And a lot of people did protest the wave of "but remember pedophilia accusations!!!" in the wake of his death, so.

...yes? That's what I was getting at?

chard was saying teens didn't rail against MJ when he died, because they were too young when he supposedly did the things. But teens DID rail against him when he died, just like teens are railing against Bowie now.

A lot, by the looks of it.
