I cannot stress enough how much you should watch all 3 Paradise Lost movies and West of Memphis. It was one of the first documentaries HBO ever did, was the first time Metallica ever gave permission for their music to be used in a movie and was just freaking brilliant. And if you like books, Damien Echolls also has a book based on the events of the case. Its, ugh, my feelings about this case run deep.

Basically - kid is a goth. Someone murders three kids. Goth kid gets blamed for it. Gross miscarriage of justice. Almost 20 years of followup follows. I promise, its worth your time and I will talk to you about it whenever you want.

If you haven't already read it, Mara Leveritt' Devil's Knot: The True Story of the West Memphis Three is also an incredibly thorough read on the case. Very dense with details of the investigation so it's somewhat slow going, though.
