With that particular post, what confused me the most was all the stuff about being "cannibalistic" and "insufficiently reverent." Is OFF "insufficiently reverent"? Soul Nomad? Geneforge? What do you look at to say "this game is reverent" or "this game is not reverent," and why does it even matter?

I feel this way about their up their own ass comics. I'm so sick of the 'random words and random artsy picture' stories. I don't want to have to guess what the fuck you mean, that's not telling a story, that's sucking yourself off and calling your saliva art.

TBH that's about the only part of Penny Arcade that I'm interested in anymore. Well, Holkins' newsposts anyway - Krahulik seems like a dick with nothing interesting to say, but Holkins is an interesting guy and I appreciate his writing style even if he is extremely overwrought. I would read his blog.

But the comic pretty much just consistently sucks now. Also I don't really care about video games anymore. That probably doesn't help.

It's just Tycho, and from what I gather it's been this way a long time. It's a persona the guy's cultivated. They're overwrought, as someone said upthread, but they're fun reads even if I disagree with him in the end (as with this one, which is about Undertale if that wasn't clear.)
