If you know that people like to retain privacy about certain things, then it would follow you should understand why Case might not want to talk about things publicly.

More accurately, someone is not willing to talk openly about their thoughts on feminism in a place where they cannot help but be speaking in a mod position, thereby putting pressure on people to conform to it.

My theory is that whatever troll wants to kill this community has realized we're onto them, so they're moving up a level. Case is what keeps this place together, so if a few different forms of "just asking questions" harassment start coming his way, maybe he'll decide it's no longer worth the trouble. Moriarty-like in its subtle genius.

It's sad when dumb people think they're smart, isn't it?
