I have heard about this game, but never paid much attention. From the Steam page it has really good pixel art and a very retro feeling. Considering buying this now. Thanks for reminding me of this game.

I bought it on the strength of the music alone but it's quite a great game. Probably the closest we're gonna get to a proper Metroid game anymore.

I actually have never played a Metrioid game. I haven't played most classic game, tbh. In my country gaming doesn't become popular until about 2000s so we rarely ever play way back games, the first wave of really popular games are the FF games on PS1. Personally I like platformer action gerne in general and playing RPGMaker games make me appreciate pixel art.

The developer being one guy making a game in the course of 5 years in his free time reminds me of Cave Story, and I love that game.

I highly recommend Metroid, then! (emulation should work for the older titles) The original NES game is pretty difficult, but Super Metroid is sublime.
