My hair is dark brown and both of my kids are blonde, my daughter extremely so.

Are they adults? I was blonde as a child, but my hair is dark brown now.

How old is your kids? Cause children of brown haired people will sometimes end up with blonde hair while they are still young, but starts to darken as they get older.

Mine did that.

If they are much older, then I stand corrected.

2 and 9. I have a blonde sister, though, and both of my parents are brunettes, although mom's isn't as dark as dad's and mine.

Their hair may darken with age. I know several childhood blondes who now have brown hair, including this one guy who went from bright blond hair at 2 or 3, to classic Jewish so-dark-brown-it's-almost-black.

Hmm, well, your youngest could still probably darken up *shrug*. But when I was 9? Yeah, my hair was already darkening really good. So your 9 year-old is most likely gonna stay blonde. Or they could end up darkeing up later on and just be a late bloomer on that. Idk. :V

With your sister, it sounds like your parents had that recessive gene that decided to rear up. :P

Anywho, cool beans either way! Just gies to show that certain hair colors doesn't necessarily mean an offspring will have that hair color.

My cousin and her husband have dark brown hair and their daughter's hair is that reddest red, not orangey red but red red. I sometimes take her pic to the salon to show what color I want.
