Well, speaking as a fan, I found out about it after it all happened. A part of the tumblr fandom was certianly shit, but this wasn't a fandom-wide thing any more then any of the other bullshit usually is.

Zamii had haters from a long time before Steven Universe. Her Steven Universe fanart was just an excuse for the trolls to attack her and weren't even in the fandom as far as anyone can tell.
