I...can't say I'm 100% okay with what Bowie and these other rock stars did. I feel when an adult is sexually interested in someone who is obviously young, they should want to know that person's age, to make sure it's cool for them to proceed. So for me it's a bit creepy the way these guys (and so many others, then and now) were only to happy to remain ignorant, in order to remain free to get a leg over.
That said, knowing about this doesn't turn Bowie into some child raping villain to me, either. If Lori's account of the experience, in adulthood, was a negative one, that would be very different. But as she seems to regard the experience as unambiguously positive, I can only say that Bowie's actions are in a grey area for me.
