That's not a trust issue, it's a respect issue. I don't fart around my friends if I can avoid it out of respect for their personal comfort, not because I think they'll go tell everyone or post about it on facebook.

I have notably smelly farts (lactose intolerance, bb!) and it's kind of an in-joke between my friends that whenever I have to fart I will loudly announce it before going away to stand in the corridor or something.

I mean, *I* don't even want to be in the same room as one of my farts, why would my friends have to go through that.
