Aussie anon? 'Cause if you are, I agree 'Roo would not seem strange. I don't even think it strange and I don't [usually] eat it. It's the constant presence in the supermarkets that make it normal.

Yeah, I'm an Aussie :D It is very common in our supermarkets. It's supposed to be a lean and healthy meat, and serves to cull the kangaroo population as well so maybe it's better than eating beef, but it does have quite a strong, gamey flavour. I think my cats like it more than I do.
