In Japan, various popular meats that aren't as popular where I'm from. Seafoods like squid and octopus. Also, horse. (no I did not eat dolphin though)

Horse is fucking delicious and I hate that the US still has stupid hangups about eating it. It's no worse than eating pigs or cows, guys.

Pigs and cows are bread and raised for eating. Horses, not so much. That's probably where most of the hang up comes from.

Horse meat is eaten in a lot of European countries. They don't have the same taboos against it that the US does.
