I really liked that one too. Unless I actually think about the whole severed horse head nailed to the wall, without the 'la, la, la, it's magical and therefore not disgusting' assumption I have to read it with.

Exactly. It's so horrifying, and me as a total horse-lover just *cringed*..... But something about the illustration in the book I had, Falala hanging wise and serene and still pretty, talking with the Goose Girl.... I dunno. It made it better, somehow.
