*shrug*

Sometimes the chemistry just isn't there.

It's nice that you've found a female character whom you like though! And, assuming you've been actively searching, I'm sorry it's taken so long. Maybe you'll ship the next one? The point is, this is the first, not the last, so ship what pleases you and don't stress so much over your own personal tastes.

This. I like Blue a lot, I like Gansey a lot, but Blue/Gansey doesn't work for me at all. Not even as a teenage crush, let alone as "true love". Ronan/Gansey have chemistry up the wazoo, though.

I do ship Blue/Adam, but I don't write or read it either. I'm just not that invested in het ships, even if I love the characters.

Sounds to me like you tie someone (or at least) your love to a character to how much you want to ship them with another. Like the other anon said, don't feel guilty about not shipping her with someone else.

If you outline your font, it'll be a lot easier to read, OP.

Isn't that the author who threatened to block anyone who reblogged gifs of Finn or Poe because that meant the blogger was misogynistic against Rey?

Thank you so much for this comment.

I went searching, and yes, this is the author who went on a rant about Rey not getting the attention that Finn and Poe and Finn/Poe is getting from fandom.

I s2G, everything I've ever heard about Maggie S. is wanky as hell & I avoid her books like the plague as a result.

I enjoy the Raven Cycle books (most of her other books are complete trash from what I've heard), but she is a giant wanker and douchebag.

The Raven Cycle books certainly seem to be popular, but I first became aware of her because a blogger who'd aspired to be a YA author herself reviewed Shiver by Maggie & Maggie came to her livejournal & berated her for criticizing her work. That just leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.

(I like my share of books by YA authors who are wanky douchebags, but knowing that about her & not having a particular interest in what she writes about has put me off of ever trying her stuff entirely.

Wait, she has a fandom presence? A book written from a girl's POV about several boys is from fandom? I'm so shocked.

(Anonymous) 2016-01-18 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, that was her. It makes me wonder what she sees of her own fandom on tumblr, because from what I have seen of the Raven Cycle fandom, I did not even know there was a female main character.

So, basically, you're so androsexual you can't ship het. Just like half the straight girls in fandom, what a shock.
