Re: Gender Thread

People keep posting in the threads, that's my point. If there wasn't anything else to say, the threads would get ignored.

I mean maybe this is the one - the time when we finally don't have anything left to say. In which case, good! But I doubt it.

My point is, like. People haven't stopped making threads about gender yet, they're probably not going to. People haven't run out of things to say about gender yet, and it'll probably be a while until they do. If that's the case, I think the solution of making quarantine threads and letting us talk ourselves out makes a lot of sense.

Frankly I assumed it was always the same person posting them, but maybe I'm wrong.

My sense is that there are a few people who do it lots, but not just one person.

And even then, the people who post the articles aren't the only ones posting in the threads.

I also think it's the same person posting. They'll make the topic, and maybe post a contribution to it to make it seem like we care.

I mean, this community is chatty, we can be persuaded to give our opinions. But if rad!fem left I don't think we'd talk about gender any more than we talk about politics or other social issues.

I agree that if the members of the community who talk the most about gender stopped posting, we would talk less about gender.

I'm not sure how useful a point that is.
