We had hearing and vision tests early on, and then in junior high we had to get tested for TB.

Wow, I had totally forgotten getting hearing/vision tests in elementary school. Must have been after 2nd grade, because I was already wearing glasses.

We also had a weird test by a speech pathologist once (around 4th grade) and I was told had some kind of very slight speech disorder but they didn't recommend treatment unless it got worse. This only had the result of making me SUPER SELF-CONSCIOUS for several weeks, thanks speech pathologist lady, smh. Looking back, I'm 99% sure it was caused by my orthodontia and they just didn't notice/ask-- it would have looked like I just had braces, but there was a palette stretcher and it sucked.
