Letting people know how urgently you need money tends to get good results, and so what if it does? If you don't want a commission, that's your business and nobody's gonna give you shit about it???

I've commissioned a number of artists over the years and I don't even remember which ones were "emergency" and which weren't. It doesn't make any difference to me.

It's also a great way to make scammers and beggars that don't need money urgently to know how to get into people's pockets, which in turn is a sure way to kill potential customers' sympathy and make them suspicious in the future and that isn't good for business.
