I would hate to be a new fan. I only remember the majority of them because I've been playing since the start. If I didn't have all those years behind me, I don't think I'd know half of them!

I was actually surprised by how quickly I caught up going from the 2nd generation to picking it back up years later when the 6th generation came out. Of course that coincided with a long stint on medical leave, so all that free time and subsequent obsession probably helped.
