Is it a storm or a furnace malfunction? Can you get away someplace warm, or are you stuck?

When they had a huge ice storm and lost power and heat for days, my folks basically hibernated for the duration. They piled all the blankets and all the coats in the house on the bed and stayed under there. They burned candles the whole time, even when they were sleeping (which horrified me when I heard about it, but Dad said "Well, I get up every 2 hours to pee so it was okay"), and my father read The Secret Garden to my mom in its entirety.

That's so cute!!

I have a space heater and a great many blankets. Roommate has contacted our (shitty) super, who I never both with anymore because he thinks I should "wait for my husband." (My roommate.)
