Different Anon. If we consider that yaoi came to be as a feminist fantasy where women can subject their male peers to porn treatment they get in comics, we still get it. But! Over the years it evolved a lot, same as Japanese society and lots of media. So, I'd say that anon above is correct in the summary.

While I am weeping he's correct :P, since holy hell, gay dating scene is rid with these minefields. Everyone has their own preferences, same as in fiction and writing couples ie. one option can prevail. However, the amount of blokes wanting macho dudes because random sexism (not preference for such, just sexism - there is a difference where one says 'I like stereotypically masculine acting and looking people' and 'ALL FAGGY FAGS ARE WROOOONG, I WANT A REAL MAN!'.

As far as fantasies go - I am surprised that it's never the other way around - the older, taller, more dominative in real life bloke is not submissive in bed. But whelp.

And this has been written by a dude who loves power play and bondage same as his boyfriend but we switch. Of course, he's the tall, dainty and slim one with long hair and happy-go-lucky character while I am a raging, ginger midget - just to fill the stereotypes quota.

idk considering the yaoi manga that is still getting released, it hasn't changed that much lmao. And tbh i'm glad bc size kink is best kink.

SA. Heh, I also like this kink :D! Guess the thing that bothers me is not kinks or fantasies just the odd pressure to have them normative? So seme/uke dynamics are nice as a sexy thing but not when they are expected and universal.
