Haha, holy shit, are we friends? That's exactly what happened to me. The rape itself was bad, yeah, but I got over it pretty quick-- which led everyone else to act like I was broken or hiding my pain or something. People got fucking angry that I wasn't a shell of my former self because I'd gotten raped. How they acted around me was a million times worse than some chode forcing himself on me.

Yeah, that's basically what happened to my friend. She even had other rape survivors accuse her of lying about it because obviously everyone who has been raped has to be mentally scarred for life by the experience - never mind the fact that it involved roofies so she didn't even have any memory of the rape itself to be traumatized by. She was more upset by the huge blank in her memory than she was by the rape.

But yeah, it was pretty horrible the way people acted towards her just because she didn't have the "acceptable" reaction to what happened to her.
