I think most X-Files fans are excited but a little apprehensive about how the new episodes are going to go. I know I am.

A couple reviews I've read for first 3 eps suggest premiere is kind of weak but others (especially #3, which happens to have Kumail) supposedly quite good. Crossing my fingers, though.

My view on it is that there's no way that it can make the episodes that I love worse. So I'm prepared to roll with it however it goes.

I don't care if they are absolute crap as long as I have David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson on screen together as Mulder and Scully.

Agreed, so excited for him! I'm not going in with any massive expectations just since i wasn't impressed by the movies. I'm just happy to see these characters again and I'll try to enjoy it.

I went into Force Awakens with no expectations and was (very) pleasantly surprised, so there's that.
