I know what you mean. I'm trying to be open minded about it because when I first started playing the app game, I definitely didnt expect to fall in love with the girls like I did, but Aquors is shaping up to be SO like μ's that I'm feeling pretty skeptical. I know Love Live has been a hit so far, but what made them think making a clone group of them would be a good idea?

On the bright side, μ's songs are always fantastic and I don't object to more of the same, so I can't say I'm particularly upset about it. Just somewhat baffled I suppose.

'stolen by some lame ripoff'. It's the same company doing it. Nothing's been stolen.

I'm glad Muse didn't go pro. The fact that it remained, to the end, just a high school club, made it a lot less skeevy than most idol shows that deal with the industry and end up, even if inadvertently, glorifying it.

I don't even think Aquors is being 'shoved down our throats'. The cards are going to be in the seal shop, so you can just ignore them, and the songs released have been kept as b-sides.

I think a lot of this is from the fandom too. When they are referring to characters as lame!Honoka and red!Umi it's hard for us to get to know them past what they vaguely look/act like. Maybe if fandom stopped treating them so much like ripoffs it'd be easier to see them as new characters inside of "lame/color changed" variants of the originals.

True, and isn't the new group a good way to introduce new voice actors? I'm looking forward to see how it'll turn out. The only thing that I don't really like is Ruby, cause she seems like Yukiho from idolm@ster who I find pretty annoying. Never liked the whole "stuttering scared of men" type of character cause they're usually very exaggerated.
