Look, I get that he hasn't gotten Oscars at times where he might have deserved to. But I don't believe in giving awards to make up for previously not giving them at the expense of people who actually earned them this time. And he did not earn the Oscar this time. Revenant just is not good enough to warrant the awards it has already won or the Oscar nomination.

I just don't get the whole "Leo deserves an Oscar" thing. Granted, the awards are frequently shit but still.

Oh, I agree with that. I think there have been some times where he has been good enough for one, but I don't think there are instances where he was robbed. He wasn't clearly better than the person who won any of the times. But at least some other times he's been good enough that he could have earned one. I don't think he was here.

Agreed with this. I think he's put in some good performances, but if you go back and look at the years when he was nominated, there were BETTER performances. But we shouldn't let that interfere with the "poor Leo" narrative.
