There is no rule requiring you to accept the prequels as your own personal canon. Why should you get to ruin the fun of fans who do like the prequels? There are plenty of canons where I don't like parts of them and choose to ignore them. But they are still canon and I'm not about to try to ruin it for those who do enjoy those parts.

Honestly you sound like the worst of prequel haters. The kind that is out to ruin it for everyone else and who insist their opinions on the movie should be accepted by everyone.

Thanks. I really never mention it, which is why I made a secret to vent. I have some fanpeople on social media who are now blogging hard about the prequels all the time (hoping they'll be acknowledged in VIII and all that), and I know some of them grew up with these movies and I'm not gonna shit on their childhood faves or anything. But I do roll my eyes at it. It's not really something that fills me with rage or disgust, more like a permanent 'ehh'.

DA--I'm with you. I have no interest in the prequels, but I only say do if someone tries to convince me that I NEED to watch them. I'm like, "No, I'm good. Thanks anyway."

But the original movies and the new one? So. Much. Fun.
