I don't know who is calling it bear rape, but that scene was pretty awful and disgusting to watch so maybe that's why they are comparing it to rape? I dunno.

they wrote up a fake article before the movie was released saying there was a scene of the bear raping Leo

the rumor got so huge that the movie's production company had to release a statement saying there was so bear-on-human rape in the movie, which is pretty hilarious

I cringe at rape scenes and even headcanon them away at times. (That time Spike tried to rape Buffy? That was someone's yucky fanfic!)

However, seeing Leo raped by a bear?

I say this knowing I'd probably feel very differently after seeing such a thing but it's damn funny in my head. And, yes, I'm going to Hell. Come with me!

Well, he didn't get raped, he got horrifically mauled. There was no animal on human sex at all. IMO, the scene was pretty gratuitously violent, brutal and difficult to watch. Though, the whole movie was like that, so.
