The Wiley Handbook of Anxiety Disorders is the best all-around anxiety book I've ever came across. It is not a pop-psych type book in the slightest though. It goes into research and the causes and treatments of different kinds of anxiety. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to get a better understanding of anxiety.

My second rec is: Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy by David D. Burns. It is aimed at all audiences. It's basically a how-to of a lot of cognitive therapy principles and techniques. It can be helpful for depression or anxiety.
