A facebook post I saw this morning. On the right side was a picture of some young kids sledding and on the left was a picture of some pre-teens hanging out and playing with handheld games/phones. It said "I'm so glad I grew up doing THIS instead of THIS". What is the point of shit like this? Personally I did both of those things when I was a kid. My mother also liked sledding and while she didn't have portable games/phone, I know that she would spend hours talking on the phone. And I'm pretty sure kids today still go sledding. So why is this a thing to brag about? (Please no literal answers to this.) I just wanted to reach through the screen and flick the OP in the nose. :T

I've seen a lot of that, and... give me a break. I'm sure a lot of kids don't go sledding, but I'm sure a lot of kids didn't "back then" whenever back then was.

People just like having a sense of superiority, even if it's a false one. FB is a terrible place for that...
