An office in the building I work in had some sort of emergency the other day and had to close early. Taped to their door was a piece of paper declaring that they were "sorry for the in convince". IN CONVINCE. There is NO GODDAMN FUCKING EXCUSE FOR THAT.

Also, we have a regular client who is an elementary school teacher. The other day when someone asked her what she did over the weekend she said "I seen Star Wars" and when one of my coworkers complimented her shoes she said "I've been having them for years". SHE IS A TEACHER.

*bangs head against wall*

It looks like your client was using some kind of dialect (it reminds me a little of AAVE, but not quite). She probably knows how to switch to standard English when she's teaching.

"In Convince".

Woooooooow. That's sad.

Your coworker sounds as though they had an emergency. Sometimes people write things quickly and don't have time to proofread. Annoying, yes, but there may be a valid excuse.

As for the school teacher, it could just be a colloquialism. Do you get on all people who don't talk the way you do? Yes, I know, when you're a teacher, you should sound somewhat intelligent. But unless she's a grammar teacher, there's no requirement that she use perfect grammar at all times, in and out of the classroom. And even if she is, there's got to be a line drawn somewhere.

lol people who flip out about spelling mistakes are the worst.

You got the point and they had bigger shit to worry about. It doesn't really matter, get over yourself.
