Ha, I was like that with the first 'Twilight' book-like you, a friend lent it to me and I somehow slogged my way through it.

Tried 'New Moon', 'cause she lent me that one, too, but I made it only a short way in before I was like, "Nope. Can't finish it."

I did the same thing with Twilight, too, but it took me so damn long to finish it that I refused to read any of the subsequent books. I have to finish what I start, but sometimes I know better than to start reading! ;)
