Re: Movie adaptations you liked better - and why

Jaws. I liked the characters more in the movie.

Jurassic Park. I love Michael Crichton's imagination, but I've always had trouble getting into his writing style.

MASH. The movie blows the book out of the water.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The book (Who Censored Roger Rabbit) is pretty mean spirted and very different from the movie.

The Secret Garden (1993) over the book. This one is the closest of the lot, but I liked the pacing in the movie more.

My Mum, who has read the book, would agree with you about Jaws. The characters in the books were a lot more unlikable.
