I think Obi-Wan's life in general is the great tragedy of the Saga. He got so royally screwed by basically everything for being as noble and true and humanly possible.

Also, I highly recommend The Clone Wars if you've not watched them already. There is more Ani/Obi there and it also makes Anakin in general more bearable (probably because the voice actor was allowed to actual act and had better material). It's also just super fun and awesome all around. Star with the movie then move to the series.

I love The Clone Wars! Such a great series! It really fleshes out the relationship between them and shows Anakin's qualities as warrior and leader much better than the prequels do. Even the Anakin/Padme relationship doesn't suck as much.

I also really enjoyed getting to know some of the other characters better. Like the Clones themselves... 99 and Domino Squad! Those precious cinnamon rolls! I feel like if makes the whole Order 66 thing even more terrible.

It definitely makes Order 66 that much more upsetting after seeing the friendships that develop and the comradeship of fighting a war together. And when Ahsoka is so devastated when she loses several Clones on the first mission she's in charge of and you see the impact on the Jedi that these are their friends. And then the Clones are ordered to slaughter them and it just hurts your heart.
