I'm not saying where I stand on the whole debate, because that's a can of worms that no one wants opened, but there is a decline in the industry in the US. A big one. There are also a number of stores in the area I live in that are actually trying to get rid of their anime stock because they can't sell them.
...but then again, it's also likely just the US.
