Nope, it's a pun on both Heartful and Hurtful while "hato" apparently means "dove."

So, literally, "Dove-ful Boyfriend."

I think that's the point. It's a play on words.

That's actually part of it! The title is a pun on "hatofuru", a wasei-eigo word that means heartful and hurtful, and "hato" means bird/pigeon. There's also a bonus route called Hurtful Boyfriend/Bad Boy's Love that unlocks after you get all of the other endings.
