I draw and I can easy put out sketches in 20 minutes that'll get notes.

A piece properly composed, colored takes longer yeah, but compare the time that it takes for a longfic (multiple years). Fanart never takes that long.

Depends on the writer. Some writers do multiple novels a year. Stephen King wrote The Running Man in a week.
