I'm guessing you mean "trash" as it is used in a SJ context, in which case, yeah, I completely agree. What an awful word. Also, "scum."

I really do understand the temptation to use those words, but in the long run they create a toxic environment that is inhospitable to dialogue.

Then again I at least appreciate the tip off that i shouldn't even bother with them. If you come in to a debate already deciding I'm the scum of the earth, it's probably futile to try and go any farther.
