If migrants won't respect our culture and abide by our laws then they will turn more and more people against them and that is an idea too horrendous to even contemplate.

So we have to be horrible to migrants to prevent people from being even more horrible to them?

Here's the line: there's a difference between expecting migrants to take responsibility for their actions, and between wanting harm to come to other human beings.

Right now things are tense. People are finding this situation harder and harder to swallow. If the tide turns, that way leads the worst behaviour of the human race.

Migrants should make the effort or leave and go somewhere else that fits better with their world views. This is not their home. This is our home. This land is not a free for all. If they want to live here they have to abide by our law and respect our culture.

How is asking migrants to respect the culture of the country they're in "being horrible" to them?
