I like practically anything that isn't an FPS. I have HORRIBLE depth perception, and I really don't like FPS as a genre anyway. As long as it's not that, I'll probably be a happy camper!

Well there goes a good chunk of my recommendations lol

If you're okay with third person horror games, though, the Dead Space trilogy is pretty good! Though for some reason they chose to put a lot of the backstory for the first game into side material, but Dead Space Extraction and the 6-issue comic book mini (included with Extraction's Wii version) will fill in most of the blanks. All you really need otherwise is the main trilogy and the 3rd game's DLC.

OH NOOOO I'M SORRY! Yeah, I can't play FPS games worth a shit. It's pretty bad.

You know, I think my partner has Dead Space somewhere around the house, so I need to dig it up!! I'll have to have him sit by me at all times because I spook easily, but the game looks like something I'd enjoy. I'll have to give it a try.

Here's some others I can think of...

The Metroid series has been battered and abused by Nintendo for ages, but Super Metroid remains one of the top 3 greatest SNES games ever made. Avoid Other M.

Anachronox is an amazing Japanese-style RPG by Ion Storm with lots of humor, though it's a bit of a sad case of what happens when you work for a studio like Ion Storm Dallas -- they were forced to end the game at a major cliffhanger because ISD was facing financial issues thanks to Daikatana taking too much time and money to be made and turning out shit anyway. Tom Hall has talked for years about doing a sequel, but that looks less and less likely the more time passes.

Sadly most of my favorite space-set properties are first person, like System Shock and Alien: Isolation.

Fun fact: Dead Space began life as a System Shock sequel!

I just realized most of my favorite space-set games draw clear influence from (or are actually part of) the Alien/Aliens franchise. Well, I guess that figures, based on my DW icon, yeah? ;)
