They were both rich popular guys who both led a gang of bullies that tormented someone when they were young. That close enough?

Your arguments that "James totally would have done this thing Romney did because I THINK SO!!11!" make it hard to take you seriously.

I highly doubt James's picking on Snape means he's going to strap a dog to the car.

That's reaching so hard you're pulling your arm out of it's socket. Why would an animagus who's best fucking friend was a dog torment animals?

That kind of bullshit reaching is why no one can take you seriously.

Also when you bring up the Dursley thing. Vernon is more like Romney in beliefs than James is. Not to mention he's also well off. And throughout the books he supports his son in bullying another child under his roof.

So if any character in Harry Potter is 'basically Mitt Romney' it's Vernon Dursley.

not really, no

You're right, Mitt Romney didn't get the gay kid almost killed by a werewolf for a prank.

lol yes poor little Snape oppressed for his sexuality

James didn't get Snape almost killed by a werewolf for a prank, either.

He did save Snape's life - at considerable risk to his own - when Sirius thought suggesting Snape go down and see what was under the whomping willow was funny, though.
