(Anonymous) 2016-01-28 12:46 am (UTC)(link)I guess there have been times when I'm reading a book and I see the word prostrate, and after reading it once my eyes will flick back to it just to check that there's three 'r's, simply because I think it would be funny if that were a typo, lol.

Look where? What I mean is, what are you checking the word against, if not the sentence it's in?

(Anonymous) 2016-01-28 04:53 am (UTC)(link)I didn't post the secret, but I assume the OP just meant going back to that part of the sentence and re-reading it to see whether the correct word was used; when quickly reading I often don't notice a very similar switch like that. Kind of like that thing where you can read the scrambled words because the first/last letters are the same...
