Without going into the boring technicalities of it, a proper job will have suits attend shortly afterward uniform secures the scene to ensure everything is being properly managed, that investigative opportunities are being maximized, and that best evidence from victims and witnesses is being achieved.

Well, sure. I see the boys in blue (well, black in our case) hanging around the ER all the time, but they're just standard officers, not detectives.

I just wondered if it was different in Britain lol.
