That reminds me of an "artist" (their drawings literally looked like a five-year-old's) who mostly did Sonic stuff but also had an Azumanga Daioh comic with Kaorin crying because she found out everyone thinks she's a lesbian with a crush on Sakaki. She tells Sakaki she's sorry if she made her think that and assures her that she just really admires her, and Sakaki comforts her and says she knows Kaorin would never be a lesbian because they both love Jesus too much to commit sin like that!
