TBH, I'm OK with both of those happening. Let's have a wide range of options for both genders! If I want to make a male character fight in pasties and sparkly underpants, I should be able to do that, as well as making a female character fight with exactly 0 exposed skin.

For me, the real issue is when the same armor looks radically different on male and female characters. When it fully covers a male character, it should also fully cover a female character. When a male character is encased in plate mail and the same armor is "battle bikini" on a female character, that's when I get pissed off about it. It's not that I mind "battle bikini" so much--BUT ON A MALE CHARACTER, IT SHOULD ALSO BE REVEALING. If "battle bikini" translates to "battle codpiece", I'm fine with it, but that happens so rarely that it is a real problem.

See, I don't mind if a game aimed at dudes who like girls only has bikini armor and the guys in fully covered. IMO having battle codpieces would be like having a romance novel aimed at straight women with random passages about how nice the protag's boobs are every chapter so any of the straight guys reading it feel included.

I get the frustration with limited options for shamelessy sexy dudes and ignoring the female demographic though and would love if there was more omnipandering and stuff aimed at women.

Lol. Go play FFXIV. I've seen some fantastic armor options that people have put on the male PCs. They're just as skimpy as the ladies. And I love it.

Whish I wasn't as broke as I was. :C I'd go back to playing that in the interim before Legion comes out.
